The We Heal As One Center-Philippine Sports Arena was turned over to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Medical Corps on Wednesday.
Present during the turnover were PNP Chief Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa, Deputy Chief Implementer of the National Action Plan Against COVID-19 and BCDA President and CEO Vince Dizon, Office of Civil Defense Administrator Ricardo Jalad, and Department of Public Works and Highways NCR Director Ador Canlas, and Build Build Build Committee Chairperson Anna Mae Lamentillo.
The Philippine Sports Arena in Pasig City is one of the facilities converted by the government into We Heal As One Centers to reduce the community spread of COVID-19.
Just like all We Heal As One Centers, the facility has air-conditioned cubicles and provides 24/7 health care, and free meals for the patients and frontliners, and Wi-Fi connection.
The 132-bed facility was completed in just three days by DPWH and the Villar Group.
The facility will accommodate COVID-positive patients with mild or no symptoms in Eastern Metro Manila.
