Statement of Policy


We are committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality and security of the personal information we hold by complying with the requirements of Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its implementing rules and regulations with respect to the management of personal information. We are equally committed to ensuring that all our employees and agents uphold these obligations.

We will provide individuals a Personal Information Collection Statement in an appropriate format and manner whenever we collect personal data from them.

 

BCDA’s Privacy Notice

Personal Information
We collect the following personal information from you, manually or electronically, when you submit to us your feedback, inquiries or requests:

  • Full name
  • Email address

Use
The collected personal information is utilized solely for documentation and processing purposes within the BCDA and is not shared with any outside parties. They enable the BCDA to properly address feedback, inquiries or requests, forward them to appropriate internal units for action and response, to provide you with appropriate updates and advisories in a legitimate format and in an orderly and timely manner.

Protection Measures
Only authorized BCDA personnel have access to these personal information, the exchange of which will be facilitated through email and hard copy. These will be stored in a database for two years (after feedback, inquiries, and requests have been acted upon) after which physical records shall be disposed of through shredding, while digital files shall be anonymized.

We will not provide your personal data to third parties for direct marketing or other unrelated purposes without your consent.

Access and Correction
For a copy of any personal information we hold about you, or for any correction thereon, please contact the Information and Communications Technology Department at 85751744 or at dataprivacy@bcda.gov.ph.

Website Analytics
When you visit our website we will record your visit only as a “hit”. The webserver makes a record of your visit that includes your IP4 addresses (and domain names), the types and configurations of browsers, language settings, geo-locations, operating systems, previous sites visited, and time/durations and the pages visited (visitor data). We use the visitor data for the purpose of maintaining and improving our websites such as to determine the optimal screen resolution, which pages have been most frequently visited etc. We use such data only for website enhancement and optimisation purposes. We do not use, and have no intention to use the visitor data to personally identify anyone.
