BCDA turns over new apartments, improved facilities to PAF

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) on Monday turned over newly-constructed apartments for use of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) 580th Aircraft Control and Warning Wing (ACWW) and their families.

The size of each of the 15-door airmen’s apartments was doubled from their previous 60-square-meter housing to 120 square meters. Each apartment has three bedrooms with built-in cabinets, storage and laundry areas, and a garage for two cars.

The “Build Build Build” team will gather around 70 employers from different contractors involved in the government’s infrastructure program, and companies within the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ) for a Jobs Caravan on February 9, Saturday.

New sports device for Filipino athletes to boost SEA Games performance

As the government speeds up development of the sports facilities for the 30th South East Asian Games, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and its partner MTD Philippines Inc. recently introduced the SmarTracks—a tracking technology that documents performances of athletes real time. This new facility will soon be used in the Athletics Stadium in New Clark City, and is expected to benefit hundreds of athletes during the Games.
