Clark roadshow highlights government’s infrastructure plans for the next six years

Committed to developing Central and Northern Luzon through high impact infrastructure, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) brings the Build Build Build Infrastructure Plan to the Clark Development Stakeholders Roadshow at the Royce Hotel, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

The Build Build Build plan details the high impact projects of national government that offer bold solutions to congestion, the need for jobs and alleviation of the impact of high prices. Implementing the plan, together with the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the BCDA.

The latest roadshow brings together local government leaders of Pampanga in a show of support for the Build Build Build plan of President Rodrigo Duterte. The Plan positions Clark as a thriving economic hub over the next six years—with key mass transport infrastructure and new linkages being built in the zone under the infra plan.

Presenting on their respective development initiatives for Central Luzon are BCDA and its partners Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), and the Subic-Clark Alliance for Development.

Among the specific projects that will increase connectivity from region to region is the new, world-class passenger terminal in Clark International Airport (CIA). With a proposed capacity of 8 million passengers, the Clark International Airport Corporation hopes that the new terminal will decongest Manila-based terminal and encourage Filipinos to use the airport as a viable alternative to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Other projects include the Manila-Clark Railway which will reduce travel time from Manila to Clark to one hour, as well as access roads connecting Clark to the municipalities of Bamban and Capas.

The roadshow also highlights the Clark Green City, a new metropolis that sets a new standard of city building in the country. The development encourages green sustainable living and showcases smart integrated systems.

The highlight of the event was the signing of a Manifesto of Support from leaders of Pampanga’s districts and municipalities own In signing the manifesto, the local government leaders with BCDA, CDC, CIAC and SCAD, emphasize their commitment to Pampanga’s 12-Point Development Agenda, and their recognition of their collaborative roles in strengthening the economies of Central Luzon under the Build Build Build infrastructure plan.

Expressing support for the undertaking were Rep. Carmelo B. Lazatin II of the First District of Pampanga; Rep. Aurelio D. Gonzales of the Third District of Pampanga; Rep. Juan Pablo P. Bondoc of the Fourth District of Pampanga; Governor Lilia G. Pineda of the Province of Pampanga; Mayor Edwin D. Santiago of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Mayor Edgardo D. Pamintuan of the City of Angeles, Pampanga; Mayor Marino P. Morales of the City of Mabalacat, Pampanga; and Mayor Condralito B. Dela Cruz of the Municipality of Porac, Pampanga. Signatories from business groups include President and Chief Executive Officer of the Clark Development Corporation Mr. Noel F. Manankil; Officer-in-Charge, Acting President, and Chief Executive Officer of the Clark International Airport Corporation Mr. Alexander S. Cauguiran; Executive Director of the Subic-Clark Alliance for Development Ms. Erlinda B. Pamintuan; and President and Chief Executive Officer of the BCDA Mr. Vivencio Dizon.

The roadshow is a second of a series of roadshows with provincial and local government units under the Build Build Build infrastructure program of President  Duterte. #BuildBuildBuild
