In line with its vision of transforming New Clark City into a sustainable, inclusive, and future-oriented metropolis, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) announced the start of its Slope Protection Wall Art Competition themed “Blossoming Futures: A Celebration of New Clark City’s Innovation and Rich Biodiversity.” It aims to showcase the metropolis’s flora and fauna and raise public awareness on environmental conservation.
Artists across the country are enjoined to submit a visually captivating mural design that features New Clark City’s cutting-edge urban development and the surrounding biodiversity. The winning artist will receive a cash prize of Php500,000.00 and the opportunity to have their design installed on a slope protection wall along One Clark Boulevard in New Clark City—leaving a lasting impact on the cityscape.
“This competition is a celebration of Filipinos’ creativity and ingenuity. Through this activity, we hope to inspire designs that capture the spirit of New Clark City as a beacon of progress and environmental stewardship,” said BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang. “Through the winning mural design, we hope to embark on a visual roadtrip, all connected by the One Clark Boulevard, symbolizing the unity of people and nature.”
Open to all Filipinos aged 18 and above, BCDA invites participants to showcase the city as a vibrant hub of modernity and nature through a captivating mural design. Entries will be accepted from January 13, 2025, to February 23, 2025. The announcement of the winner will be made on March 3, 2025, followed by the awarding of the prize on March 10, 2025. Participants are required to submit a digital copy of their proposed design presentation via email through nccartdesigncompetition@bcda.gov.ph in PDF format (presentation layout).
