A college student stranded in Clark due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions offered prayers for those afflicted by the virus, by playing the song “People Need the Lord” with his violin.

“Dedicated iyon sa lahat ng tao; siyempre sa panahon ngayon, people need the Lord kasi maraming namamatay, maraming sorrowful dahil nawalan ng mahal sa buhay at may sakit,” says 19-year-old Orlando Ladia, Jr.

Ladia is a scholar studying at the St. Scholastica’s College School of Music in Manila, and has been staying at The Mansion Hotel in Clark for the past week, after being stranded at the Clark International Airport.

Almost 200 people are staying for free at The Mansion Hotel in Clark since March 19, as part of the efforts of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), and the Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation (LIPAD) to help passengers who were stranded due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon and the lockdowns imposed in their respective destinations.

They will be taken good care of while in Clark, until the imposed lockdowns in their destinations are lifted.
