Malacañang welcomes SC decision on dispute between BCDA, CJHDevCo

Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin on Monday, April 15, welcomed the Supreme Court’s “favorable decision in the legal dispute between the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and its private partner-developer Camp John Hay Development Corporation (CJHDevCo).” 

“The BCDA will meet with stakeholders to map out the next plan of action following the ruling of the High Court,” the Executive Secretary said.

BCDA puts spotlight on Clark in Singapore Airshow

With the aim of building Clark’s reputation as an emerging aerotropolis, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) joined the inaugural Philippine Pavilion during the Singapore Airshow held last February 19 to 26, 2024. 

President Marcos Jr leads inspection of Airport-New Clark City Access Road

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday, February 21 led the inspection of the 19.81-kilometer, six-lane Airport-New Clark City Access Road (ANAR), which will cut travel time from other districts of Clark to New Clark City to about 20 minutes from an hour, toll free.

The carriageway of the access road was completed in December 2023. The ANAR is expected to be fully operational by July this year, once its bike lanes, landscapes, and slope protection are completed.

BCDA pitches sustainability projects to UK gov’t, firms

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) sought the support of the United Kingdom (UK) government and UK-based investors for the financing and implementation of two major sustainability projects in New Clark City. 


Joining a contingent of Philippine government officials during the recent UK Familiarisation Visit on Financing and Delivering Sustainable Infrastructure Projects, the BCDA briefed various UK government entities and investors about New Clark City and the pipeline of projects to be implemented in the new metropolis. 

BCDA sets transfer of PAF facilities to New Clark City

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) is moving forward with the Php 4.24 billion project to transfer the Philippine Air Force’s (PAF) housing facilities from the Air Force City in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga to an 85-hectare property in New Clark City, Tarlac. 

BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang said the state-run firm will launch next month the bidding for the first phase of the project, which will involve site development works and construction management services estimated to cost around Php742 million.

The commercialization of the Passive Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure in New Clark City in Tarlac is seen to attract high-value residents and businesses as it will form the foundation for robust fiber infrastructure and competitive retail internet services in the 9,450-hectare metropolis.

Total contribution of BCDA to the AFP goes up to Php78.34B

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) announced in a recent forum that its total contribution to the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) Modernization Program and replication of military facilities has amounted to Php 78.34 billion from May 1993 to October 2023.

Of the total contribution from May 1993 to October 2023, Php 48.59 billion went to the AFP Modernization Program while the remaining Php 29.75 billion was for the replication of military facilities.
